Christmas Time

Today is Thanksgiving. Which means it is now OFFICIALLY Christmas time. Tradition at the Walker Household dictates that today we put up the Christmas tree and decorate it as a family. Little known fact about myself: I used to throw a fit at doing this. Why? I'm not really sure. All I know is now its a tradition that I love! When we were done, I grabbed my gear to replace some batteries and I played around with my flash, shooting it off in my family's eyes to pester them...then I realized, "Oh...I could take some pictures too."

And this is for everyone! Here is MY new year's resolution. Yes, I know those come about a month and a few days after right now, but this is what I am resolving to accomplish before the new year starts! I'm going to update the blog design, switch to wordpress, and update the website. I just have been so busy as of late, that I haven't been able to. There you go, my New Year's Resolution.

I LOVE this time of year. Here's a few shots from the Walker Christmas Decor. Also, if you click for fullsize of the last image, it's wallpaper size for your enjoyment. Feel free to share it with anyone (it's my wallpaper now!).

Meagan // Senior Session

Before you get to see the awesome pictures from Meagan's senior session, I wanted to give a quick update on Memory Box. Feel free to skip to the pictures, I wont ever know!

I need to apologize! My blogging has been lackluster at best lately. I've been doing shoots, but the orders are just now starting to come through, so the posts will begin to pick up as orders are made. However, I'm thinking about a few changes/improvements. I'd love some feedback if you have any! First off, I'm making the change to WordPress. Blogger has been fine, but I dont like how restrictive it is, so HOPEFULLY fairly soon, I'll be making the switch to WP. If all goes according to plan, that will be quick, once I get the time to do it. Also, as far as blog content goes, I'm thinking about doing some more daily life posts. I'd like to get a point-and-shoot camera to carry around with me, and if anything interesting happens, snap a picture and have a little snippet on the blog. I'm still not sure on that, so I'd love some feedback on whether you'd like to see some of that in addition to photo shoot results, and what type of point and shoot you guys use and would recommend!

And now, the good stuff. Meagan is actually a friend of one of my other seniors, Christian. We talked and got a time set up for me to make the drive up to Van Buren, and Christian said he wanted to tag along as well. Naturally, I was more than pumped to be able to hang out with the two. The energy was great, and I believe it shows in the pictures. Best part of the shoot: the three of us belting Journey at the top of our lungs. Yes, it's a long post. You're welcome, ha ha. Here's some of the stuff we got, and as always, click the picture for a bigger view.

Ashley Glover

Ashley is a senior from Stuttgart, AR. Her sister and I are both at Ouachita, and so she asked if I would do her sister's pictures. Through chaos and confusion, the three of us ended up hanging out one Sunday afternoon driving all over Stuttgart talking, laughing, and taking pictures. I'll just say this...sometimes you dont even have to be told that people are related! Though it was a LOONG day of driving, the results were well worth it. Here are some of them!

Gunner and Leighton

These two siblings were a LOT of fun to shoot. Gunner wanted some "album" looking shots, and I feel like we got some great ones! Leighton was a blast to take pictures of as well, from playing with an apple toy to playing with iPhones! One of those made me nervous. Hint: it wasn't the apple...or was it. Too cheesy? Maybe. Either way, it was hot and humid outside, but we still had a blast and had fun results! And since it's been a while since I've had time to post, I'll throw in quite a few.
